Come and learn the process of becoming a United States citizen while preparing yourself to successfully pass the citizenship interview and civics exam.

The CV Adult School Citizenship class offers people in the community an opportunity to prepare to become American citizens upon submission of the USCIS N-400 application. Students must demonstrate that the USCIS requirements for naturalization have been satisfied which includes an ability to speak, read, write, and understand basic English (with the exception of those who have satisfied the age and length of time held with the permanent resident card).    

Students will be instructed in the following: (1) the fundamentals of American History, government, and civic principles; (2) the importance of an attachment to the principles and ideals of the U.S. Constitution; (3) demonstra-tion of good moral character; (4) completion of the application; (5) an understanding of current local and national events; and (6) encouragement of participation in local civic and government activities.
